Summary: George L. Goff, 42, World War veteran, employed on the farm of Harry Lawyer, near Crosswicks, died from a heart attack while bathing in Crosswicks creek on Sunday afternoon. The only eye witness was Merrill Inman, aged nine years, who was visiting at the Lawyer farm. The boy, thinking Goff was swimming out of his sight, did not pay any attention until nearly an hour afterward, when he called some men and told them about it. Goff had been receiving government treatment for heart trouble and it is believed that an attack was brought on when he entered the water while overheated. Coroner Clarence S. Roberts, Jr., of Moorestown, issued a certificate of death from heart trouble. Goff is survived by a wife, whose destination is unknown; a sister, Mrs. Etta Lippincott, of 315 Prince street, Bordentown, and six brothers, Andrew and William, Bordentown; Lewis, Arneytown; Benjamin, Imlaystown; John, Cream Ridge; Harry, Burlington.
