In the 1890 veterans census, in Washington Twp, Mercer Co, there is a George W Nelson. However, I can't find him in the 1880 census.
In 1878, George W and his brother William H Nelson signed to sell their father's share of the old Andrew Nelson property in Cassville, in what had become Ocean County NJ.
