DUFFY. Patricia (Pitkin) Duffy, 65, of Manchester, wife of Donald J. Duffy, died unexpectedly Wednesday (Aug. 14, 1996) at Manchester Memorial Hospital. She was born June 26, 1931 in Westfield, MA, daughter of the late Peter P. and Mary (Stone) Pitkin and had resided in Manchester since l952. Prior to retiring, she was employed at Travelers Insurance Co, Hartford for 15 years, and was a communicant of St. Bridget Church. Besides her husband, Mrs. Duffy is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, James E. and Sherry Duffy of Enfield; three daughters, Dona M. Duffy and Susan D. Cherenza, both of Westerly, RI, and Lisa A. Duffy at home; a grandson, Justin M. Cherenza; four sisters, Alice Goff of Enfield and Fort Pierce, FL, Irene Albee of Manchester, Marianne Cassidy of Foster City, CA, and Paula Holm of Napa, CA; several nieces and nephews; and her best friend, Janet (Norton) Murphy of East Hartford. Funeral services will be Saturday (Aug. 17), 10 a.m., at Holmes Funeral Home, 400 Main St., Manchester. Burial will be in St. Bridget Cemetery. Friends may call Friday, 6-9 p.m., at the funeral home.
