1. Name given on daughter Anna Rosa MASTRONARDI's christening record.
Also, it was given as Mariantonia di Cristinziano Mastronardo,
I assume that it is shown that way to show that she was not marrying
a brother or close relative.
2. Birth record found for a Maria Antonia MASTRONARDI as follows:
born 17 Sep 1752, Christened 18 Sep 1772. Father: Crispino
Mother: Rosa d"AGNILLO.
This must not be hers because she would have been only 11 years old
when her daughter was born.
3. Found christening record for Maria Antonia Mastronardo, father Cristinziano
Mastronardo and Vittoria SAIIA, record number 70 for the year 1723 in
the christening records at San Marco parish in Agnone. Research in Agnone
was done personally by Rod DeGiulio on 29 Mar 1995.
NOTE: In speaking with the priest, Don Allessandro, I found that it
is not unusual for the "O" and an "I" to be switched from generation
to generation (hence Mastronardo vs. MASTRONARDI). He also said that
the name SAIIA (written in old italian script like SAYA with a dot over
each of the top arms of the Y) is pronounced like "say yah" in Italian.
I later noticed that sometimes one of the "I"s is left off in later
generations.
Christening record also states that the mother came from "parocco
San Antonio"
