Deceased Name: John Pannunzio
John Pannunzio, age 51, beloved husband, father, brother, and friend passed away August 25, 1999, after a short battle with cancer.

Born May 10, 1948 in Tooele, Utah to Henry Sr. and Antoinette Xaiz Pannunzio. John was raised here and was a 1966 graduate of Tooele High School.

John joined the U.S.Marine Corps in 1968 during the Vietnam conflict and returned home in 1971. He attended Trade Tech and graduated in 1972. While on leave from the Marine Corps, John met Pheba Loydell Pannunzio. They married March 3, 1973 at St. Marguerites Parish.

John was an employee of the Tooele Army Depot for 28 years, meeting some of his dearest and closest friends there. From the time he was a child, John hunted in Middle Canyon with his father and brother. Trap shooting, however, was his first love. Shooting in many local tournaments and throughout the Salt Lake Valley. He was an avid collector, surfing the Internet for bargains on anything from pocket watches to tea pots for his wife. John always gave the best "to the point" advice and had a loyalty to his family that will be greatly missed. He could debate most any topic with great ease and intelligence.

John leaves behind his beloved wife, Pheba; daughters, Stephanie and Natalie; sister, Mrs. Fil (Bill) Ahlstrom; brother, Henry Jr. (Mary) Pannunzio; and many dear friends. He was preceded in death by his father Henry Sr. and mother Antoinette Xaiz Pannunzio.

Mass of the Christian burial will be held on Monday August 30, 1999 at 10 a.m. at the St. Marguerites Parish. Friends may call at the church on Sunday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. The Holy Rosary will be received at 7 p.m. Interment at the Tooele City Cemetery.
