Deceased Name: Maurine Larsen Busico "Blondie"
TOOELE, UT-- Maurine L. Busico, beloved wife, devoted sister, and compassionate friend, passed away on October 15, 2000.

She was born at Madison Memorial Hospital in Rexburg, Idaho on October 8, 1941. She is the oldest daughter of eight children born to Ora Steed Larsen and Gerald L.

Larsen. Maurine married Joe Busico on April 11, 1970. They shared a wonderful 30 years together. Maurine was educated at schools in the Rexburg, Idaho area. She graduated from Utah State University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Education. She obtained her Home Economics Degree from the Merrill Palmer Institute. Maureen dedicated 33 years of her life to teaching home economics and English. She taught at Mount Jordan Middle School, Hillcrest High School, Tooele Junior High School, and Tooele High School. She retired from teaching in 1996. Maurine is a member of St. Marguerite's Catholic Church. She is a talented piano and organ player, a lover of music and good books. She adores her grandchildren and was very involved in community service, most recently inducted as Tooele's chapter president of American Association of University Women.

Survived by her husband and step-children: Paul Busico, Julie Busico, Gino (Teresa Mikesell) Busico, Carol (Allen) Yerke, and Mark (Valerie Millward) Busico; 15 beautiful grand-children; special niece and nephew, Mary Lou Busico and Joe (Ann Rich) Busico. Other survivors are her mother, Ora Larsen of St. George, UT; brothers and sisters: Winston (Deon) Larsen and Richard (Peggy) Larsen of Salem, ID; Blaine (Connie) Larsen of Hamer, ID; Gary Larsen of St. George, UT; Dorothy (Frank) Bernhoft of Lodi, CA; Ruth (Don) Cook of American Fork, UT; and Barbara (Van) Johnson of Evanston, WY. Preceded in death by her father and step-daughter, Kathleen.

Funeral mass will be held Thursday, Oct 19th, 11a.m. at St. Marguerite's Catholic Church, 510 E. Vine St., Tooele. Friends may visit the family one hour prior to mass or on Wednesday Oct 18th from 6 to 8 p.m. Vigil prayer service commences at 8 p.m.
