Theresa Spicola, 90, passed away Jan. 27, 2010. She was born Feb. 16, 1919, to Antonio and Louise Santarelli in Pueblo. She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry A. Spicola; and son, Henry F. Spicola; brother, Pete Santarelli; and sisters, Lena Santarelli, Rose Cash and Flora Scaplo. Theresa will be sadly missed by her son, Anthony; and daughter-in-law, Susan Spicola; grandchildren, Nicolas and Amanda of Pueblo, Gina Spicola (Sylvester Nungarey) and Henry "Mikey" Spicola of California; two great-granddaughters, Andria Ceniceros and Trisha Spicola. She had many cousins, nieces, nephews, friends and co-workers that loved her very much. Theresa lived in Pueblo her entire life, and had many jobs until she retired from the Pueblo City-County Health Department in 1982. She enjoyed cooking, baking and crocheting; but most of all, her family. She loved attending the "Goat Hill" luncheons at Patti’s Restaurant and reminiscing with everyone. She was a devoted Catholic, and her faith gave her the strength to deal with any of life’s misgivings. She also was a great comfort to friends and family in need. A special thank you to everyone at the Sangre de Cristo Hospice House that took care of Theresa these past couple of months. Visitation, 3 to 6 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 2, 2010, T.G. McCarthy Funeral Home. Funeral Mass, 10 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 3, 2010, at the Cathedral of the Sacred Heart. Please visit Theresa’s memorial at www. mem.com. Arrangements under the direction of T.G. McCarthy Funeral Home.
